If I can't get to the gym, I try to get 10 minute spurts of exercise 3x during the day and it will be just like a 30 minute workout. I just turn the music on and dance around silly with my son. I'll add some jumping jacks, squats, burpees etc. My 4 year old LOVES it! Maybe something like that could work for you along with taking walks with your kids.
