Ha ha. I wish I could help you with the why factor but I have no clue. Its funny you post this now because I was cleaning out one of the diaper bags and found a newborn diaper so I decided to put it on Levi. His size ones fit but they are a little big still, so I figured the newborn would still fit. He had it on for about 20 min when he pooped. It wasn't a lot but I learned that the newborn are definitely to small...lol
