Awesome! With Hunter I wanted to wait until the placenta came out and have Hunter on my abdomen. But I got roped into a bunch of interventions and when Hunter was born he wouldn't breath. So he was on oxygen for awhile and was clamped and cut right away.
This is actually the first picture I have of Hunter. He is in a warming "crib" (more like plastic box) with oxygen. He was screaming at this point and had his fingers in the mask pulling at it.
I told my Midwife that when Liev was born and if everything was good, that we werne't going to clamp or cut until the placenta was out. Everything went great and he was on my abdomen still attatched until my placenta came out which was I believe 17 minutes later.
This picture was taken at 6 minutes, still attatched to the cord.
