Sometimes you just have to hope for the best and let people learn the hard way. I got an epidural with Gemma just because that's what people do, right? I ended up with a second/third degree episiotomy and not bonding with her. The Stadol had me so out of it I was too afraid to hold my own baby.

With Ash I had the labor from Hell but I didn't care. I bonded with her right away and recovered faster. And if I do it again there are even more interventions I would turn down. For the hard headed and stubborn there is no other way besides the main stream and it takes a bad experience to change our minds!
