Just so you know, I had a completely natural (not-even-an-IV-natural) birth at a local hospital. Some of the biggest things were making sure I knew my stuff (we did Bradley classes and I read everything I could lay my hands on) and choosing a SUPPORTIVE provider. For me, that meant a provider who encouraged, not just "tolerated," NCB. Also, know the attitudes toward NCB and the policies at the hospital you are going to deliver at and write a polite, concise birth plan.

I could go on forever, but I'll just say that you can have a natural birth in a hospital. You may have to "fight" a bit harder, but it can be done and it can be WONDERFUL! Good luck!
