I would ask your OB or MW about triple nipple cream (also called all purpose nipple ointment). Or you can just use neosporin and wipe it off before feedings. Hang in there! I had an infected blocked duct in my nipple that had to be lanced when DD was 3 weeks old, for a few days I would pump the affected side and feed off the other side. I tried a nipple shield and that was just a pain in the rear.
