We have a golden and she knows the command "no lick". I hate being licked and started saying that to her when she was little. When I first started, I would say "no lick" really abruptly and when the dog stopped licking to look at me, I would praise her and pet her and maybe distract with a toy.
I know you have a golden and they are so smart. I would just pick something/anything and implement it consistently....I bet it won't take long.
