This morning Aubry tells me that her reading teacher told her "only god knows the number." I asked her what number she says you know like when you're dead. Ahhh. I told her that what her teacher stated is not exactly true. This led into a conversation about what god/jesus is and how it is very inappropriate for her teacher to tell her that. I explained to her that those are her teacher's beliefs and that is fine however in school no adults should be talking to her about god or religion. She is in 1st grade at a public school.
