Hi! I'm a lurker on the board. My DD is four and this will be the first time she's experienced Easter. I never allowed it previously because the whole holiday is so religious to me in its origins. However, I do have fond memories of celebrating it when I was a child. And really it's not much different than Christmas which we do celebrate-- never had a tree, just presents. If you don't consider something religious, then it's not. Right?
DD doesn't know anything about it yet. I plan on surprising her with a basket hidden in the house (what my mom always did) and plastic eggs filled with candy hidden as well. I think she'll love it.
