I agree that a tot can be kept from getting into another person's space.
You pay for you seat - you should be able to count on having your space. What you don't pay for is a quiet ride. There is no guarentee the person next to you won't get motion sickness and puke into one of those little bags the whole time. You don't know if the person next to you will have horrible BO or will fall asleep and snore the entire flight. You also don't know if you will be next to a tot or infant screaming the whole time.
It would be iritated but I wouldn't complain - I'm not paying for a peacful flight.
I would be the first to complain if someone is taking my space though.
So, this guy can rant and rave and complain all he wants but all I think he has the right to be upset about is if the child did hit him or get into his space.
