Our LAC consult gave us the medela supplementer today to encourage atti to nurse more actively and get "reward" from the breast. My flow/supply is slow so she said that this should really help get him to where he needs to be. I am also to pump 15 min on each side every time he eats, and once I am getting atleast 2oz each session, then I acn quit supplementing because he should be able to get that mjuch as well then. Problem is, when I pump sometimes I dont even get half an ounce, but then again I heard some moms have healthy babies that nurse all day but also cant pump so thats not an indicator technically. & my other ? is, this supplementer doesnt make him seem more active at all, he's still barely sucking before falling asleep, and not even finishing half of the 2 ounces, but if I put a nipple on the bottle he'd suck it down....What do I do??? Am I doing something wrong?, Sorry for the novel...Newbie to the supplementer here.
