My son's school does shared supplies to a degree. Pens, pencils, crayons, markers, glue and stuff like that gets shared. Folders, notebooks and binders are individualized. Because they do get to keep their own notebooks and what not, I don't mind about the shared products so much. I do get annoyed when certain name brands are expected and when some kids are asked to bring more than others. I do my best follow the list provided to my son, but if I feel things are out of line, I will not purchase them.
