This info is a little dated, based on info from 2007-2008, but it's the best I could find.
Kentucky's c-section rate was 34.5%.
Louisville area hospitals:
University of Louisville Hospital - 30.3%
Baptist Hospital East - 32.96%
Norton Suburban - 34. 87%
Norton Hospital - 35.14%
Lowest in the state was 7.56% at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Edgewood (near Cincinnati)
Highest in the state was 90.68% at Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital
Statewide - 8.47%
Baptist Hospital East - 3.01%
Norton Suburban - 3.06%
Norton Hospital - 6.71%
University of Louisville Hospital - 12.58%
Highest VBAC rate in state was 76.19% at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Edgewood
Man, I need to travel to St. Elizabeth's for my next baby, I think!! 7.5% c-section rate and a 76% VBAC rate! Too bad it's almost 2 hours away and I'll be living even farther away when the next baby comes.
I'm glad I found this. There's a hospital I was considering for next time because they have a midwifery practice there but it turns out they have a 46% c-section rate.
