That is a rotten way to find out... Sorry it had to get so bad first! I am Sarah, Mom to DS Danny (4 years). He was diagnosed with RAD (reactive airway disease) at 2 months old after a nasty bout with croup. The office we go to doesn't switch the diagnosis to asthma until after the age of 5 for insurance reasons but he is on Adviar 2 puffs 2x daily, Singulair, Flonase, and right now he is on Xopenex, Prednisone, and Augmentin. Sadly I think we will be going back in at the latest Monday because "the cough" was gone for about 3 days but it has been coming back and getting worse.
I hope the meds are helping and I really hope the Asthma clinic can be lots of help for you.
