My oldest has a banana allergy and he throws up within an hour of eating one raw. We didn't find out with him until he was much older. But what I have done with him is given him a week for his system to clean out and then try a little bit again, making sure not to add any other new foods. Then, if he reacts the same way, I would avoid that particular food.
