I still think at this age it won't matter as much if they don't have a "big" party, Michelle.

I am going to rent a city "event" room again this year though most likely at a different location than we rented last year.

Sam wants a Little Mermaid party this year. I don't want it to be overly "girly" so I am actually going to make it an "Under the Sea" themed party with some Ariel/Mermaid decor thrown in and her cake will have Ariel on it.

For games, I am going to have a fish bowl / ping pong toss (like at carnivals), maybe play "Fish, Fish, Shark" (duck, duck, goose), a fishing game (magnetic fish), and painting a wooden fish craft. I might add one more activity.. was thinking maybe a pull pinata.

Menu - Fish and chips (Goldfish and potato chips), Submarine sandwiches, Ocean Potion (blue kool-aid), Seaweed Dip (spinach dip), veggies and dip (with an octopus on the dip made from a sweet pepper), Octopus hotdogs, mac n' cheese with "sea" shell pasta, and clear plastic bowls with blue jello and some sort of gummi fish in the bottom.

As for the guest list, 2 are my nieces (10 and 13 years old), 2 are her male cousins (her age) and I think I will let her invite 4 friends from her class for a total of 10 children. There will probably be more adults than kids again this year.
