My Dh and I are currently ttc #3. I have had one c/s and one vbac.
I have chronic high BP, and no one has ever wanted to put me on anything to help bring it down, so it creeps up toward the end of my pregnancies. I had lowish fluid with both pregnancies.
We recently moved and now are limited on where we can go to deliver, due to our rural location and our out of state insurance.
the choices I have are
the hospital in Hagerstown MD - about 40 minutes from me. apparently there is only one practice the delivers at this hospital. I have been talking to a midwife there, she said their VBAC success rate isn't very good, and some of the docs in this practice are ANTI-VBAC
the other option I have is a practice in Frederick MD that has privileges at a hospital about 2 hours from me. The practice only has hours at this location on fridays, only till 4pm and the office is over an hour from me. they do have other locations but the other locations are close to 2 hours away.
they do have a good VBAC rate, but I had an encounter with one of the midwives for my annual visit and I really didn't like her, she is disinterested in helping me, and hasn't returned phone calls or emails.
I also have an issue with the distance, we have no family down here, and I don't really know anyone well enough to trust my kids with, to get them off the bus and such (if I don't get pg soon, school could become an issue)
which practice would you go to?
