About if I should worry about Lilli and take her to the dr....

Well, I didn't take her to the dr 'cuz no one in the family seemed like it was a need to take her in for having red cheeks, chin, and lethargic.

WELL! Friday evening when we got home from eating dinner I took her out of her carseat and put her in the bumbo in the kitchen so I could get her stuff ready for bed, she kept making a groaning noise. Almost like a pushing sound for poop, yet she wasn't going. After I finished, I picked her up and felt her head and she was BURNING up and shaking a little! When I took her out of her carseat I shrugged it off as her being bundled up, but she had had her jacket off and out of the carseat for a good 15-20 mins at least. Well I took her temp and it was 101.6. I called the dr and they said to give her tylenol and if it wasn't under 100 in 45 mins to take her to er. I took it at 45 mins and it was 100.3, so I gave her about 10 more mins and it went to 99.something. So we kept her home. All day Sat she had a low grade temp, not going below 99.6 and in the evening shot back into the 101's. Called dr he said the same thing since there was no new symptoms. Same thing happened Sunday, and it got up to 101.8 despite tylenol. So I have made her an appt this morning. I hope they can figure it out. I know she's teething, but they don't get THAT high of a temp?? She has been choking, gagging, and spitting up a lot the past few days.

She's pitiful, when her temp goes up she is good about letting me know 'cuz she starts acting really groggy and groans. I feel so bad for her.

I will update when and IF we find out what's wrong.

*UPDATE*- We were able to get an appt this morning. She was negative for flu and rsv which is good. They said it's either a cold or a virus, more than likely a virus. She hasn't had but a low grade temp today (the highest was 99.9 at dr office), even close to the next dose of Tylenol. I'm going to keep a check on it though. If she still has a temp Wed I'm supposed to call them. She said that teething doesn't cause a high temp like she's had but they may have a low grade temp with it, so teething is not the cause THIS time. lol. She's been acting better today too. It's all sucky timing though, as I'm supposed to start back to work tomorrow and she'll start daycare. She has to be fever free for 24 hrs, so we'll see. If not, dh said he'd call in. Ah, the joys of being a working mommy.
