It says nurse, nurse, nurse, but is that pretty much the same as feeding on demand? I let my little one nurse any time he did the whole rooting thing for about two days and the only thing it did was screw up my production.

When I left the hospital 10 days after he was born, I was getting 2oz out of each side and I was nice and full after 3 hours. After the feeding on demand I can barely get 2 oz out of the good side and now only can get 1oz out of the bad side. Not only that but now it can take up to 5 hours for me to be full. So all this means my baby is annoyed because he's not getting as much as he wants. He was born at 9lbs 6oz so was already eating a good 1oz from the get go and I had to supplement but after my milk came in, he was good and was sleeping nicely after each feeding.

Now, in order to get him to be content, I have to supplement with up to 3 oz of formula thanks to the whole feeding on demand thing.
