I didn't have a doula with either girl. Lily was a NCB at the hospital and DH was there with me, plus my best friend. She took Bradley classes with me since DH couldn't make them due to work, so she was a great advocate.
Vi was a home birth and I had 2 midwives on hand, so didn't really need a doula.
My best friend will be at this baby's birth (hospital again) to help out, etc. If I didn't have her, then I'd probably hire a doula.
