Jaxon was born this morning at 10:12am. He came through the birth canal to quickly and ingested amniotic fluid into his lungs and stomach. He also has some air outside of his lungs. He had an x-ray at 4pm this afternoon and the results were looking good. He is in the NICU for a minimum of 72 hours which is really hard for me. I did get to hold him for a few minutes right after birth but they took him away pretty quickly to the NICU.
I've been doing fairly well considering my baby is on machines and has tubes and cords everywhere. It breaks my heart not being able to hold him or nurse him. It's 5:40pm and he still hasn't eaten or had any dirty or wet diapers. The Dr said this is normal since he has to fight so hard to breath right now.
I will update with pictures and a birth story later. Please send prayers and thoughts of strength to me and SO, we could really use them.
