Update:

Well, I've had a lot of time to think the past month or so about whether or not Jason and I are truly ready for a baby. Here's what I've determined:

-Financially, we'll never be ready. However, saving up a little bit more wouldn't hurt.

-Emotionally, mentally...there are still a few things we need to figure out with our marriage before we have a baby.

-Physically...I'm not satisfied with my current weight. I'd like to lose at least 15-20 pounds.

-Support, we have plenty of support but a few skeptics who think it may be too early.

Overall, I think we're going to fall into the NTNP category. I'll still temp and keep an eye on my CM to see how my cycles are regulating but I really need to lose some weight for my self-esteem. Since May 2011 I've gained about 15 pounds and its been rough trying to clothing shop and be intimate with DH because I feel so gross. I'm 5'4'' and 163lbs. According to BMI calculators I'm considered "overweight" but I really don't look as bad as it makes it sound. So, with the help of a friend of mine (personal trainer) I'm hoping to get my "beach bod" back within the next 3-5 months and then maybe we'll think about hitting baby making hard.

This way, we'll save up a bit more money. Be more emotionally ready to bring a little one in our lives, and I'll be sitting at a healthier weight before becoming pregnant. In addition, DH and I won't get grief from our relatives about how we're packing on the pounds this first year of our marriage.

I'll still post updates and follow you ladies..I just need some time to get my confidence and health back where it needs to be. (Aka: Blood pressure, weight, stamina, energy).

Until next time...
