[Rae-of-Sunshine]

We met in an msn chat room "Christian Singles 30's" It may sound like a dating site, but it really was just a chat room. I knew him for probably a year or year and a half just as one of a group of friends there before msn started closing their chat rooms. The group of friends migrated to a msn group that was more like this type of forum, with posts, etc. We had started talking a bit there, but I hadn't really caught on he was interested. Valentines day there was a thread where you could post flowers to other people, and we were all posting flowers with messages to each other, nothing romantic about it, just a bunch of singles cheering each other up on a day when we didn't have significant others. Then one of my other friends there pointed out to me offline that I was the only one he had posted flowers for ... hmmm .. interesting. So we started chatting with each other one on one ... then calling on the phone ... then by June I went to visit him (I lived in Florida, he lived in Washington), then I visited again for Thanksgiving, met his dad, we got engaged, he came home to PA with me for Christmas and met my family, moved to Florida, and we were married the next November.

The truly funny thing is that before I moved to Florida, I lived in Washington State, not 90 minutes or so from where he was. Did we meet then though? Nope! Of course we agree that was probably a God thing, because we were at different places in life then, so it worked out well ... just REALLY long distance!
