I didn't read the entire article, but I have to say I agree with the part I did read. My goal will be for my childen to want to do things because they want to please me, not because they will be punished for not doing it/recieve a reward if they do.

I do agree that sticker charts can help as they see their progress, but I think the point she makes about intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation is a very valid one.
