Ugh, it's annoying!! I spend a decent amount of time on it...and then parents will ask questions or say something like "I didn't know you had a field trip coming up" and I tell them it's been in the newsletter for weeks!
On a side note...I wonder if I should send them home on Monday (or a different day of the week). Ours go home on Fridays and I thought maybe parents just don't do the normal routine of checking backpacks/planners on Fri. night and that's why they don't read it. (Although you still have issues on Monday...so I don't know!)
