Christian just started on solids, and last night I made some sweet potatoes, put them in ice trays and froze them, and stored in Ziploc bags. It was so easy and CHEAP! Anyway, I was wondering how many of those cubes is equivalent to a jar of baby food? And what other foods can I make for him in his beginning stages? I am worried about the squash being seedy or stringy. Any tips you guys have would be soooo appreciated!! Also, how do I thaw the cubes? Do I just take them out a few hours in advace? Sorry for so many questions, I am still very new at this! Thanks in advance![/b]

I make my own baby food as well, and I started my daughter out on Sweet potatoes, squash ,green beans, Apples, pears, bananas and peaches.... I used butternut squash, and it is a very smooth consistency..... It all turned out very well
