Ashlee - she isn't even a social worker, she is just a therapist that they contract out to do the home studies and the trainings for Children's Division. All of the social workers that work for the parents in Children's Division are great, ours is fantastic and we love her. I have no idea about the children's workers.
DH called up our worker today and talked to her. She was very upset to hear about how we have been treated. Come to find out a lot of what she has been telling us isn't true...like she has been pushing us REALLY hard to rush through the process, and even told us that our worker was the one trying to rush things. Our worker says there is no rush, we can get licensed at our own pace, and she never told her that.
Our worker is having the lady doing the home study send the home study to her, and SHE will go over it with us and work with us to complete the process from now on. Hopefully that fixes things.
I also sent an email with my complaints to the Children's Division Supervisor. She is out for the rest of the week, but hopefully next week I will hear back from her.
