for us, it works more often than not, but he still likes to get into sleep mode with the boob. but a lot of the time, i remove and he rolls over and goes to sleep. if teething is involved, it's a different story. he needs to the comfort.
i think if you start at this age, you might have really good success with it. keep with it, even when you dont think it's working.
