Mandy I am the same way. I'll go crazy and work out almost everyday for a week or 2, then I sit on my butt and shovel down junk food for a week and undo all the work.
They say 40 days is what it takes to develop a habit.
Yeah, MAYBE if I had a treadmill I could turn my daily walk/jog Into a habit.
