I set up a tour at the TAG school for friday morning. I talked to the coordinator, and it sounds really good. It has everything I would love to see in any school, not just a TAG program. They are based on the theory of multiple intelligences, which is basically just different learning styles. They test every child and meet them at their level in each area...if they test out of a section they just move on. I was shocked to find that there is NO differentiation at my kids' current school...if they already know the material, or if they are so behind they have no clue, it doesn't matter. Anyway, they also stress foreign languages and music. She would start a language and vocal music next year, and then pick an instrument in the third grade. There are also quite a few field trips, which is something her current school didn't have. And projects. So far I really am loving the way it sounds. It's just one class per grade too, and the teacher told me the kids and parents get really close over the years. She could stay with the same kids every year until eighth grade. Well, if we weren't military. For her it would be 2nd-4th.

Soo...wish me luck! I'm hoping the tour will make my decision easier one way or the other. If it was just her I would definitely try the school. I am going to be homeschooling Matt and Carrie for sure though (grades 1 and pre-k) and I'm not sure if I want to have one in public school and the other three home.
