I found out that I had SCH at 12 weeks. It started with a heavy gush of red blood which only lasted for one day. I have since bleed brown discharge and blood for the past 8 weeks. I am now 20 weeks pregnant and my baby has a strong heartbeat of 166 bpm and the doctors state that the SCH is not affecting the fetus at all. The bleed moved and now sits right above my cervix. I have no cramping and have not passed any blood clots but the bleed is not getting any smaller. The doctor states that the bleed is between the walls of the placenta. There is a wall protecting the baby from the bleed. I believe that I will be ok and my baby boy will survive this trauma. I have already had a 2nd trimester miscarriage and it is extremely painful, both emotionally and physically. My suggestion to you ladies is to ask your doctors where the bleed sits and how it is positioned and have them to explain the risk. May God bless all of your pregnancies as well as mine own.
