She's in for a wild ride. It's a lot of fun, but also a lot of work in the beginning. If she can get someone to help she'll be a lot better off. It might be rough while her husband is deployed. Some twins sleep awesome and are pretty easy, just like any baby, and others sleep poorly and you get half the sleep you would with a singleton who sleeps poorly.
If she's going to formula feed, then the Podee bottles are great. Most multiples moms love them. You can google them.
My twins never wanted to be put down, so a Moby carrier was awesome in the beginning. You can carry twins in that and have your hands free.
