Camp is fun! I think I was 9 or 10 before I went to camp, but I stayed the night with friends as young as 1st grade... I was a bit traumatized at first so maybe that was too young. Clarissa has spent the night with her Nana, but I won't let her go off to camp until she's a bit older. I'll let her stay with a friend if I know the parents very well.
By the way, I worked at Girl Scouts for a while before I got pregnant, and some of the employees are nutso. Keep that in mind and be safe!
