An OPK can turn positive even if the attempt at ovulation fails, so it really doesn't confirm whether ovulation happened or not. I don't know enough about the CBE to know how accurate it is at detecting ovulation.

You can confirm ovulation with mucus only though. Did you happen notice if you felt particularly wet or slippery recently? When did the slippery feeling stop?
