Ok, so remember how I said my doctor wants me to go to maternal fetal medicine for my ultrasound? She specifically told me that it's because I am farther along and the hospital's ultrasound machines aren't as good as the MFM ones, and that sometimes when you're a little farther along they have trouble getting all of the measurements so she'd rather me go get a level II u/s.

SO, they made my appt. for a day and time that I am unable to go, so I had to call and change it, and I found out that not only am I getting an u/s, I'm seeing the genetic counselor first, then the ultrasound, and then the doctor afterwards. I really wasn't expecting all of that. I have zero experience with maternal fetal medicine or any type of specialists so I don't really know what the whole protocol is. I do know that I haven't had ANY screening tests or anything, so I thought maybe that's why my regular doctor scheduled this. The only thing I've had is the dating ultrasound, and they called me after that to say that everything looked great.

So would you be concerned!? I just don't know why I'm seeing a genetic counselor.
