Nick has been diagnosed with eczema which is not surprising because I still get nasty flare-ups occasionally. I almost expected it. We were prescribed a topical ointment for it which clears it up really well. My problem is that Nick now has it on his hands. The ointment cannot be ingested and his hands are constantly in his mouth. It is getting to the point that he is having trouble sleeping because his hands are so itchy.

One website suggested a bath in diluted bleach but I don't think that's a very good idea. I'm going to try putting mittens on his hands tonight and if they are still on in the morning I'll use his ointment under them at night. Do you ladies know of any tricks to deal with eczema that are safe for babies' hands?
