I have memories of church from when I was very little, Christmas mostly. Then Sunday School. I read the bible when I was 8 (cover to cover). My mom forced it on us.. but didn't do it herself. It was more out of tradition and a feeling that she was supposed to make us go, than out of her actually believing.
Some has stuck with me. Mostly because it was drilled in. DH family was taken a back at his grandmother's funeral when there wasn't any prayer done that I could not say by heart. Even DH had no idea I'd had that much exposure. Initially I'd wanted my children at least baptized.. but I no longer want that. I might find someone to do a baby blessing at my grandmother's home when the time comes... I have a few friends who know some witches who do that for people who wish to have a blessing, but not a religious one.
I mean no disrespect to anyone... they are wiccan's and they refer to themselves as witches
