Hey ladies...I've made this recipe twice now, with pretty good results, so I thought I'd post my recipe for the BF mommas out there that want to try these. I should point out a couple of things: #1: They're clearly a "health" cookie. Which means, they don't exactly make me squee my pants in joy, but they're still tasty enough to kill my sweet tooth. They way I figure it, if I'm going to be eating sweet stuff (and I am) - then I might as well be eating stuff that is helpful for me in some way...

#2: I made a couple of changes to the straight up recipe, which worked for me. I added fenugreek to the dry ingredients in the recipe (about 10 capsules worth of fenugreek), and I used splenda as a substitute for the white sugar. (Cutting sugar calories?) I also threw some cinnamon in on my second batch, but didn't discern a noticable difference in flavor.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 T water
4 T flax seed meal
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 C flour (ok to use whole wheat)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 C oats
1 C chocolate chips
2-4 T brewers yeast/ yeast flakes

DIRECTIONS:
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2.) Mix the flaxseed meal and water, then let sit for 3-5 minutes
3.) Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar together.
4.) Add eggs and mix well.
5.) Add flaxseed mix and vanilla.
6.) Sift together flour, brewers yeast, baking soda and salt.
7.) Add dry ingredients to butter mix
8.) Stif in oats and chips.
9.) Scoop onto baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
