What is the hardest thing you have been through as a parent so far?
Having to give up weekends with my kids so they can see their dads. Not so bad with LB because his dad and I are still best friends, but with BB it's tough because once he goes to his father's, I don't know if he's being cared for.
What about parenting has been the easiest for you?
I guess the 'down days', where we don't have anything to do but watch movies, eat junk food, have tickle wars... I didn't do that kind of stuff when I was a kid, so I thought I wouldn't be able to.
Is there anything that was easier or harder than you expected?
Parenting as a whole is harder than I expected. The worst thing is that I never feel like I'm doing a good job. Parenting knowing that no matter what, I'm going to hurt my kids somehow, someway is hard. You can't be TOO anything; overprotective, not protective at all, too strict, no discipline... it's so hard to find the meeting point between the extremes sometimes.
