I will let him confirm pregnancy. After that it's all midwives. They'll start seeing me as early as 8 weeks. They can refer for ultrasounds, bloodwork, have someone on staff who can write rx's (certain kinds, thyroid meds, anti nausea etc) if needed. The hospitals here can be finicky... and unless there's an issue, I don't want to be strapped to a bed with iv's hanging around suffering in pain because of "protocol".
