There isn't ANYONE else, that's the issue. I have an Endocrine disease that can cause miscarriage.. I spoke to two large OB centers here in town, one in Green Bay, and over 20 small offices.. this was the only office who was willing to take me with out sending me to an Endocrinologist (who charges $500 for their initial visit, and requires a full panel run.. which costs $1000.... we just don't have that kind of change to drop if we want to be able to afford the baby later). It's not considered denial of care to send you to a specialist instead of doing it yourself if the patient isn't pregnant.. and even then they have the right to send you to a specialist for something that's outside their scope.

When you don't have insurance and can't use Medicare, you don't have a lot of options. Another OB is just going to charge me another $200 for a visit, run blood work and write an RX.

I have no intention on letting this guy do anything other than maybe confirm a pregnancy. The midwife clinic downtown can offer everything a doctor can with simple referrals to a clinic across the street.. and will take people after 8w.
