not for my little ones.
recently 3 of my friends all had babies born within this week and I noticed in one of their newborn photos the 'gloop' on the eyes.
I don't see why it should be standard procedure unless there is need for it.( I don't know the mother SO well to know if there was need for it, maybe there was! )
but then, a lot of the standard procedure for delivery/newborn care I don't really agree with...so thats why its so important to research as much as you can. For my firstborn I didn't know anything and I regret allowing a lot of things done to my DD when she was first born, but for the birth of my son I had my midwife and was armed with
a lot more knowledge so I did things a lot differently the second time around.
Don't feel guilty if you had it done and wish you hadn't, all you can do is do the best you can as you go! Its also great to help educate other young women.
