Don't let the money issue get to you. I still can't believe how little we've spent on things for our kids. My husband unexpectedly lost his job a month before my son was born. You can get used things very reasonably priced. You can borrow things/ clothes from friends and family. If you have a baby shower, that will give you a good start too. It's hard when life throws us curve-balls. Sometimes you really don't see how things could possibly work out, but somehow they do. My prayers are with you both.
