My son is still 99% non-verbal. At 6 months he could say Dada and shortly after Mama. He has said dog, but doesn't pronounce the G. He has said ball but almost never. The problem is he has said these things but they diminish. They just stops and you can't get him to do it again to matter what. He mostly just screams. It is VERY draining on everyone around him. It is extremely hard to take him out in public because I know he's going to start screaming and I'll have to leave immediately. He has never said two words together and some months he won't say one word at all. After his naps he has melt downs that last anywhere from half an hour to 2 hours. Nothing stops them, they just have to run their course. We can't figure what is causing them. I feel like a failure as a parent.
