No worries, every baby is different! Like a PP said, I also keep my kiddos on a routine and I reinforce it by following the same "steps" and creating the same sleep environment. DS has always responded great to it and I'm hoping Gia does as well. At 3, DS will lay down for naps on his own and will tell me he's ready for bed at night (at his actual nap & bed times). And its of course changed over time, as needs have changed, but keeping & reinforcing the routine itself was key, imo, to his sleeping success. But thats just him, and like I said every baby is different but I am doing the same with Gia now in hopes she will follow suit
