That's crazy. When I was young we didn't have any money so I grew up on baloney sandwiches for lunch. I'm not saying that it's good to feed it to your kids every single day, but sometimes you are in a hurry and need to grab a Michelina's from the freezer, or a muffin, or a granola bar or something like that, and shove it in your lunch bag.
Or I guess you could send your kid to daycare in his pyjamas with breakfast smeared all over his face and say "Well I had no time this morning cause I was stuck making lunches from scratch, so you deal with him"
