I think what frankie850 meant by GI carbs are things like sugar, white bread, potatoes, and the like. If I'm not mistaken GI probably stands for glucose index. If you are going to be eating carbs you should focus on whole grains. Things like quinoa, barley, brown rice, sweet potatoes, couscous, and such. Anything white or bleached is worse for you than the natural stuff.

Other than that I agree you need to start charting your cycles. You can't get pregnant if you don't ovulate. And you can't know for sure that you ovulate if you don't chart. Taking an ovulation test will only show you if your hormones are surging in preparation for ovulation. Alot of us PCOSers will have that surge multiple times and yet no egg is released.

Do your research. There is a lot of info out there if you will just look for it. PCOS is not something tha is often talked about, but once you look into it it is much more common than you would think. If your not shy, but willing to talk to friends and family about what is going on (which I know not everyone wants to do) having a good support system can go along way. And you may be surprised how many people you know who are in your same shoes. When I came out to my friends I found out that at least 5 other people in my close group were all suffering with similar issues, but were too embarrassed to bring it up. Since then I have met several more women who were able to find support just because I was strong enough to admit that I had an issue.

You aren't alone. This board may not be the most active, but there are several of us who check in every week or so just to see if anything new is happening. So feel free to post and ask any questions you may have.
