I did repeat c-sections, me, Dh and my OB felt they were safest for me and baby, I have big babies and my OB said genereally here they don't like to do a VBAC is previous babies were over 8 1/2 lbs, I also had an infection after my first which made him concerned about how stong the scar on my uterus was and the main thing is that we're in a fairly small town where it takes about 1/2hr to get a team together to do an emergency c-section and he said if I ruptured or something during labour that it could be very dangerous for us, unlike if we were at a big more equipped hospital. Though one of the other main reasons for me was that I had an unplanned first c-section where I laboured for over 24hrs, being induced and I hardly remember any of my first DD's birth or the first day or so afterwards, I didn't want to risk going through that again with the same outcome so I I opted for the repeat section, which I personally really liked, I healed way quicker and I remember every minute of her birth and the days after unlike with my first. I'm having another c-section in 2 weeks and I'm really hoping everything goes as well. However I think whatever you and your Dr decide is safest for you and baby is best be it VBAC or c-section, I hope things go well either way! And good luck TTC!!
