Unfortuneately, it could be a sign of many different things.

1- AF returning could be near (or far for that matter as many women get signs of her return several months before she actually shows)

2- You could be pg, so take a test if you aren't sure.

3- You could just be ovulating. My boobs get super sore and owie when Edward nurses during ovulation and after until AF is over. So, if your body is having it's first pp ovulation, it could explain why it hurts.

4- It could be thrush. You can have it so it doesn't look like thrush visibly, but it's still there. Check your baby's mouth and see if you can spot any white patches.

5- It could be mastitis. You said you didn't feel a lump, is there any spot that's slightly red or warmer to the touch? If so that might be it. You would also most likely also have a fever, headache and chills as the symptoms for mastitis lead are "flu like" (real flu, not stomach flu).

6- It could just be a clogged milk duct. If it doesn't become unclogged, it can lead to mastitis which is no fun.
