Well, you know...I have a UCer past with my second son. Yep, just me and my hubby. Oh and a little 4 year old running around. That was it. Planned for and loved it! I also try my very best to keep that experience at the front of my midwifery. I want the couple to be in charge. I want the couple to NOT depend on me. I want them responsible for that pg and birth. I want them to welcome me and use my experience. But I give it with no strings. I don't expect them to be one way or the other. I give as much as they take and no more. I try to get them to a place where they KNOW that they know more about their body, birth, and baby. I want them to say, I DID IT!
I want them to feel that power! ROAR!
I don't know why more caregivers don't back off and stop all the poking and prodding...I do know that I don't have to do it! I can midwife the way my heart tells me too!
So, I think that is why we mesh, you and I!
I love your posts too!
